FIRST HOLY COMMUNION AND CONFIRMATION: WHAT TO EXPECT?
Our approach is to create portraits of your child in a mix of contemporary, formal, and fun poses, then invite the rest of the family to join in for portraits in various combinations. You are welcome to include siblings, mum and dad, grandparents, and godparents in your portraits. Communion - Confirmation sessions typically last for about an hour.
DURING THE SESSION
Your communion or confirmation session will be relaxed and enjoyable, resulting in natural and authentic photos. I provide subtle direction to ensure your child is in the most flattering light and position, then allow them to be themselves so I can capture their genuine essence. After capturing these individual photos, I invite the rest of the family and godparents to join if they wish. This is an opportunity to spend quality time together away from your busy lives.
Before the session, I take time to learn about your child or children, allowing me to bring out their best during the shoot. I pride myself on capturing great shots even from the most reluctant subjects, both young and old!
Top tip: We suggest avoiding the word "cheese," as it can result in unnatural smiles.
After the session
After your First Holy Communion/Confirmation portrait session, we require time to sort through and edit the images. Within one to two weeks following your session, we will arrange a viewing at our studio where you can see all your photographs. This is an opportunity to select from our range of beautiful wall art and prints.
Following the viewing appointment, we will also provide access to a private online gallery. Here, your family members can view the images and order additional prints for up to 7 days.
