WHEN SHOULD I BOOK?

We have limited availability, so we recommend contacting us as soon as possible to secure your session. For newborn photography, it’s crucial to book early—ideally around your 12-week scan. Please reach out during your pregnancy and provide your due date so we can confirm our availability.

For all other types of photoshoots, we encourage you to contact us as soon as you know your preferred dates to ensure we can accommodate your schedule.

HOW LONG DOES A SESSION TAKE?

Your session will take place at our home studio on Culmore Road in Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland. We prioritise a relaxed atmosphere where you can savor every moment of your time with us.

• Family/Baby Photoshoot (6 months+): Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes to an hour, ensuring a comfortable and memorable experience for your family. We specialise in capturing the natural joy and bond between family members.

• Newborn Session: Our newborn sessions typically last between 2 and 3 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, settling, and capturing those precious early moments. Parents appreciate this dedicated time to relax and enjoy a moment to themselves, often commenting on how quickly the session flies by.

• Communion/Confirmation Photoshoot: These sessions are tailored to highlight the significance of these milestones, lasting between 45 minutes to an hour. We focus on capturing the essence of these special moments with care and attention to detail.

Will you edit out blemishes or anything else that I don't want in my finished gallery?

At Kevin Copeland Photography, the final images you select are meticulously retouched and enhanced by hand. We delicately remove any blemishes or marks to ensure a flawless presentation.

Our focus on sharpness ensures that every tiny detail of your baby, from their precious eyelashes to wispy hair, is beautifully captured. However, this sharpness may also highlight newborn spots and skin flakes. Therefore, we meticulously soften and lighten any red blotches or imperfections to reveal the natural complexion of your baby.

Each image is edited individually by hand, ensuring a unique and personalised touch for your session.

What if I feel self-conscious about breastfeeding?

If you've opted to breastfeed your baby, feeding 'in public' initially can be a concern. At our home studio, breastfeeding is completely normalised, so please feel reassured and relaxed. It's common for babies, whether breastfed or bottle-fed, to feed little and often during their photo session.

How many images will I view?

After your session, we strive to deliver 30-50 carefully curated images for your Preview & Ordering appointment. We understand the importance of finding that perfect piece to adorn your walls and cherish for a lifetime. Each image is meticulously crafted to serve as a centerpiece in your home. During your personalised Preview & Ordering appointment, scheduled shortly after your shoot, you'll have the opportunity to review and select from both colour and black & white finished pieces.

Do I get all the images on a disk?

We specialise in creating stunning custom wall art, from framed prints to metals and canvases. Instead of simply handing you a CD full of images that you may or may not use, our process ensures that you purchase only the images you truly love and intend to use. You have the opportunity to hand-pick each image to include in your package.

We treat every photograph as a piece of art, not just a photo, and meticulously edit each one. We dedicate the majority of our processing time to ensuring that these images look their absolute best.

Can I have my images for facebook and instagram?

Yes, we provide all our clients with low-resolution files of each purchased image, ideal for use on all social media platforms.

When do i get my final wall art and prints?

Typically, your order will be ready between 2 and 3 weeks after your ordering session.
